Welcome to Mrs. Smith's Kindergarten Class!

Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! You have been specially chosen to become a part of the Smith Family and I am so excited to meet you. Here are some things to work on while you wait for our school year to begin:

Become familiar with holding a pencil and decide which hand you would like to write with.

• Practice writing your name, first and last, and begin learning the letters that make up your name as well.
  
  
• Practice tying your shoes! We have a special club that you can be a part of when you learn how 😊
  
  
• Sing your ABC’s and count as high as you can! Don’t worry if it’s not perfect just yet! We will learn all the things soon enough.
  
  
• Practice for the lunchroom! Set a timer for 25 minutes to keep yourself on track and remember, our main goal is to eat our lunch and THEN we can chat with our friends 😊 Practice opening baggies/containers and knowing what is trash vs. what needs to come back home in our lunchbox.
  
  
• Practice proper bathroom courtesy and how to dress yourself.
