hey boys and girls I just wanted to record a quick video to introduce you to a new way of doing our small groups because I may or may not be here all week next week and when I figured out I can't necessarily have internet access on the computer I can use my phone but some of the computer just doesn't like connecting to my phone as a hotspot and Wi-Fi is not going to be readily available in the area that I'll be so I want to do is go ahead and record a video that I can post on Clever so that you can figure out what we are doing so that's what I'm going to have you to do for small groups today or this week you will actually go to padlet I am putting the link for padlet under weekly assignments on my clever page I'll also put the link in the announcements okay on Clever we will get the link for all your small group work on Weber nail have all of the ELA and the math small group put together so we have independent reading and there is a category for Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday under independent reading I want you reading 20 minutes each day and then respond because you're going to pick a prompt and you're going to answer question about it but you will see all of that on Kim and on the pilot the directions are on the pilot Kim is working to do the typing the next column is called additional work so complex text so we have a texts about sea snakes you're going to read it and then you're going to answer some questions on Kim then there's going to be a dictionary page activity it's got five word invertebrate exoskeleton Venom vertebrate and adaptations you're going to need to click the red words all nine dictionary so it will take you to the Merriam-Webster online and you need to look up the definition of those words ever recorded in the chart on kid in the next column on that light is called fluency timer and it's reverbs which is basically a fancy way of saying helping verbs that we're looking at those are on Kim so the directions on padlet will redirect you back to and it's only four questions for this is a real quick practice there is a Paragraph Editing page it is on Canon you're going to correct the mistakes in the paragraph for 20 minutes take sweets when you finish and check out all I need is going to be word study and vocabulary Microsoft forms where you have to pick the correct spelling of the word in this sentence into your account but that's okay you know how to do that that brings us to math stations with math fluency that your extra mats the same thing that you do every week do you need to complete at least one extra math 6 session video of math with writing this one that's okay you can do it on Kim there is a an assignment that says math writing prompt and it's asking you about multiples and factors and want to know what's what's the difference in multiples and factors and how can you apply those in your mouth learning math with text says I ready do you need to complete at least 15 minutes of i-Ready each day okay and then you're going to log Kim how many minutes you got at the end of the week there's another game it's called map of problem solving this is the fraction game the object of the game is to get all the markers to the right side of the game board using a few cards as possible he will just click on the link that it's right there on pilot and it will take you to the game once you the game with fractions a few times you might want to experiment with other games that are on the website is totally up to you but I'd like you to do it at least twice okay alright you know if you have any questions reach out to me on email or send me a message on Kim okay hope you have a great weekend
